First of all though I may have seen the original when young, besides them being lizards, I really don’t remember the storyline. So this is a review based only on the current series with no baggage from the first series.

Overall it seemed well made and is developing into a decent story. Of course there are lots of unanswered questions about what is going on and why. This is all part of the fun of the series. As long as the questions actually get answered.

Elizabeth Mitchell is great, I liked her in Lost also. Morena Baccarin and Laura Vandervoort make sexy villains.

Our View: Looks like it is going to be good.

While I love science fiction, a bunch of people stranded on a ship just isn’t coming out as that exciting.  The do or die story structure is rather boring, since there have been more miraculus happenings than not.  One alien entity in six episodes and no alien races?  After six episodes this is really starting to bore me.

Our view:  Nothings going on here.

Overall it was a decent movie. You have to get by the fact that they changed the Star Trek universe. Personally the last thing I think we needed was another Star Trek time line.

That being said it was a decent movie. Not great by any extent. Huge plot holes that had to be ignored. Maybe someday Hollywood will get a clue.

Rant: Ok, so first of all you have red matter that can create black holes when released. Why is Nero drilling a whole into the planet? A black hole will work from anywhere close to the planet.

#2. Why do we have so much red matter and why did we put it all on one ship? Not to mention how you would ever contain it or where it came from.

#3. A new underage captain would never be given command of the newest Star Fleet vessel.

#4. How come they are still designing ships without guard rails, where one misstep is death?

I could go on, but I digress.

Zoe Saldana at least provided good eye candy.

Well as far as a sequel to the terminator series is concerned, it did not satisfy.  Christian Bale was alright, but the whole storyline was lame.  Like the Star Trek movie they like to keep changing the storyline.  I was really looking forward to more gritty combat as they came to this part of the story, but all they really did was try to introduce a new cyborg machine.

More stupidity ensued as to get a ride John Connor lures in a motorcycle machine and disables and manually controls it for a ride.

The only highlight was Moon Bloodgood and she couldn’t save the movie.

Our view:  They need to find a story we can give a shit about.  Still, there are bigger wastes of time than this movie.

Not a great example of the X-Files. Not really a big mix of weirdness. Part of the problem is it is just a psychic for most of the movie. The ending is bizarre, but at that point it is more of a so what. Should have been better.

If you are a fan, then see it.

I love this movie. It is one of the better science fiction movies around. A good combination of action and comedy. Always fun to kick alien ass. Sure it has a lot of technical details to pick on, but screw it, I still liked it.

I’m not real big on Stargate, but this movie was entertaining. Not great, but enough action, mystery and suspense to at least keep your attention.

Not much available for Sci-Fi, so it’s worth seeing.

Actually I thought this was pretty good. No it did not make a lot of sense, but it was a good story. Interesting characters. Lot’s of action.

DAI-GUARD Episodes 6-9 (DVD) Nudity: None

It was a pretty boring interpretation of monsters from another dimension/universe coming to destroy the world. Why there was only one robot we may never know. It was a different monster every episode, so there was no consistency in the villains.

Our view:

Weak monsters and only one robot to fight them. Miss it.

This story is a lot of flash back, flash forward, flash further back. It flows all right. Some action, and a lot of filling in. Best new character is unfortunately killed off. Doesn’t seem to add a lot to the story, but seems to make it more complete.

We enjoyed it.

If you like Galactica then it is a must see.
